Website Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 June 2026
Welcome to Buildloop. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Buildloop website, including our AI discovery chat. Buildloop is a New Zealand-based AI software studio that builds custom, AI-powered software for New Zealand small and medium businesses. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms cover the website only; any software project we deliver is governed by a separate written proposal or Statement of Work and our Services Agreement.
1. Acceptance of these terms
In short: Using the site means you accept these terms.
By accessing or using this website, including by interacting with our AI discovery chat or submitting your details, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the site on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after we publish changes means you accept the updated terms.
2. Who may use the site and how
In short: Use the site lawfully and for genuine enquiries only.
You may use this website to learn about Buildloop, explore whether we can help your business, and contact us about a possible engagement.
You must not use the site for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, interfere with its operation, scrape or harvest data at scale, upload malicious code, or misuse the AI discovery chat (for example by submitting other people's personal information without a proper basis, or by trying to extract confidential or harmful content).
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the site or its AI features.
- Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading or that you do not have the right to share.
- Do not rely on the site as your only source of professional, financial or legal information.
3. Our content and intellectual property
In short: The site and its content belong to Buildloop; do not copy it without permission.
All content on this website, including text, design, graphics, logos, code, and the structure and wording of the AI discovery chat, is owned by or licensed to Buildloop and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may view and print pages for your own internal, non-commercial reference. You must not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, modify or commercially exploit any part of the site without our prior written permission.
Buildloop's name, logo and brand are our trade marks and may not be used without our consent.
4. Site information and AI chat are general information only
In short: Everything on the site, including AI chat replies, is general information, not professional advice.
All information on this website, and any output generated by our AI discovery chat, is provided for general information purposes only. It is intended to help you understand what Buildloop does and whether an engagement might suit you.
The AI discovery chat produces automated, general suggestions. It may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and it does not consider your specific circumstances.
Nothing on the site, and nothing produced by the AI chat, is professional, financial, legal, tax or other expert advice, and it must not be relied upon as such. You should obtain your own professional advice before making decisions. A human from our team will follow up on genuine enquiries.
5. Third-party links and services
In short: We are not responsible for third-party websites or services we link to or integrate with.
Our site may reference or link to third-party websites and services, and our AI features are powered by third-party providers (for example offshore AI providers such as Anthropic). These third parties are outside our control.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, security or practices of any third-party website or service, and a link or reference does not imply our endorsement. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and subject to that third party's terms.
6. No warranty about the site
In short: We try hard, but we do not promise the site is error-free or always available.
The website and AI chat are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any information or AI output is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose.
We may modify, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site, including the AI discovery chat, at any time without notice.
7. Limitation and exclusion of liability
In short: Our liability for your use of the site is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buildloop excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or the AI discovery chat, or from reliance on any information or AI output on the site.
In particular, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however arising.
Where the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 apply and cannot lawfully be excluded, nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes to the site and these terms
In short: We can update the site and these terms at any time.
We may change, add to or remove these terms and any part of the website at any time. The current version is the one published on this page, with the 'last updated' date shown above.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Privacy
In short: How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Our collection and use of personal information, including anything you enter into the AI discovery chat, is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the site you acknowledge that policy. Please read it before sharing personal information with us.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
In short: New Zealand law applies and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You and Buildloop submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand in relation to any dispute arising from your use of this website.
11. How to contact us
In short: Reach us with any questions about these terms.
